Bamboo Ochre
worked in the 90's around state and national
folk festivals and S.A. venues playing a fusion of
Asian and western music. Most of the music was
created by Dang Thao a Vietnamese refugee
who was incarcerated by the communists
before fleeing for the fact that he was a popular
musician. Hung also contributed songs another
refugee.

Thao is an extraordinary musician with a gift for conveying the soul of music to the audience.
Time and time again I witnessed him captivate an audience with his charm and unique Vietnamese joy and compassioin.
